After 10 years climbing the corporate ladder and building an executive portfolio, I found I was having consistent battles with myself to go to work everyday and be someone I wasn't interested in knowing.
Years of sitting behind a desk and treating clients to business lunches or after work dinner and drinks, an inactive lifestyle and poor nutrition took a toll on my body, mind and overall self-confidence. In an attempt to turn this around I hit the gym and began going every day of the week. After not getting the results I wanted, and not knowing how to get them, I hired a personal trainer and ventured down my current path.
The gym turned into my happy place. I enjoyed my workouts. I started seeing the results, learned how to transform my goals into reality and found my passion.
After my second child that I really wanted to focus on answering that age-old question: "What do I want to be when I grow up?" and more importantly: "WHO do I want to be?".
I turned to my passion for working out and being fit and learned all I could so I could educate others and help them find the same focus, determination and sense of being to transform their fitness goals into reality too.
I understand all of the excuses out there. As a busy mom of FOUR I am sure I have used most of them for myself: life is busy; working out isn't easy; and it can be expensive.
Push through those excuses and choose to put yourself first. Invest in yourself and make it happen.
You CAN do it!
